We don’t need no education!

[The title to this post is a double negative, so it applies here! My thanks to Pink Floyd for allowing me to use this song lyric for the title of this post. (Yeah right).]

First, I want to thank you for checking out my blog. I haven’t posted in almost two years so welcome back! I’ve added some pages to my blog. These can be found on the red ribbon underneath the title. I would encourage you to check out those pages, especially if you or someone you know is surviving schizophrenia.

It is official. I am returning to school for a second bachelor’s degree, this one in psychology. I received an acceptance letter from Washington State University on December 28th. I’m looking at two other schools — Arizona State and the University of Arizona. I will decide once I know which schools want me.

I live in Bellingham, Washington and have no desire to move. Luckily, these schools offer psychology degrees that are 100% online, so regardless of which one I choose, I will complete my studies while living in Bellingham.

I’m not sure what I want to do once I finish my degree. I might pop down to Seattle and work as a case manager for King County Mental Health or a smaller clinic. I will likely look at graduate school, either in psychology or business administration.

Hopes and dreams are wonderful things.

Have a great New Year…
